I was quite surprised to see this tiny Brown Creeper that probes into crevices and picks at the loose bark of trees for insects on my Maple tree in the spring. They are fun to watch as the Creepers typically spiral upwards from the bottom of a tree trunk and then fly down to the bottom of another tree or the same tree and spiral up again.
